This Portal will give you access to Afterschool Program information at the state and national level, including: DESE announcements, upcoming trainings, contact information, DESE forms, and much more.  Please take the time to visit periodically to look for new announcements and other updates.
 
Please note:  Current grant recipients have identified a "primary" grant contact person and this individual is responsible for reading information contained in this Portal no less than once per week, required.
 
Here is what you will find in this Portal:
 
DESE Communication:  DESE announcements concerning grant procedures and updates; other messages concerning Afterschool programming at a local, state or national level;  and announcements regarding grant opportunities and other funding related information.
 
Contacts:  find contact names, numbers and email address for: DESE Afterschool Program staff, Kids Care Center staff, Missouri Afterschool State Network (MASN) staff, Resource Center’s Area Regional Educators (ARE’s) staff, and all current 21st CCLC and SAC grant recipients.
 
Reporting Calendar:  chronological listing by due date for all DESE required reports and forms.  All information on this tab is differentiated between CCLC and SAC grants.
 
Training:  grant training requirement specifics, state conference descriptions, upcoming regional and state trainings (includes other regional/state trainings not required by grant), and upcoming national trainings (not all inclusive).  All information on this tab is differentiated between regional, state and national categories.
 
Reference Material:  DESE presentations (PowerPoint of state conference presentations/handouts); DESE Afterschool newsletters; local Afterschool Programs' newsletters, and listings of all SAC and CCLC grant recipients.
 
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):  find answers to some of the most common questions/problems – differentiated between Kids Care Center system and DESE Afterschool grants.
 
Procedures and Report Forms: under the ‘procedures’ portion you will find all the “how-to” steps in completing each grant required form plus other DESE afterschool items.  Under the ‘forms’ potion you will find all the grant required forms in two formats: PDF (fill-in) format and Word.  Please note that if you select a Word version, you will be prompted for a user id/password – do not do this, just click the cancel button until it disappears. All forms are differentiated between CCLC and SAC grants.
 
Grantee Forum:  a place for all users to post questions and answers regarding Afterschool Program/operation.  You are highly encouraged to use this, it can only be as helpful as you allow it to be.  All users have access to post information within this tab only - your name will not appear unless you type it in.
