Focus Group Invitation - MADS During MOSAC
A MADS focus group will be offered during MOSAC to gather grantees' ideas regarding specific data needs, system use, accessibility, and reporting needs. A MADS developer will be in attendance to conduct two focus groups (this is not DESE nor the MASN MADS technical assistance team) on:
Friday, November 21 3:00-4:15 (breakout session) in the HK Club Room and on Saturday, November 22 4:30-5:00 (spark session) in the HK Club Room.
We hope you will take time before the conference to visit with your program's data entry staff to seek their input regarding the above. If they are not attending the conference, you are welcome to attend either one of the focus groups on their behalf and share their feedback.

MOSAC is Soon
Our DESE Afterschool team is looking forward to seeing everyone at MOSAC! Our full team will be there. We will not have a pre-conference this year for new staff as we really didn't have many to justify it. As usual, we will be offering a DESE Afterschool breakout session on Saturday at 1:00 (following the lunch break) in the HK Club Room (aka the squirrel room LOL). We hope you will plan to join us! MADS Focus Group Opportunity
During the November 2025 MOSAC conference a developer of the Missouri Afterschool Data System-MADS (f/k/a Kids Care Center) will be conducting two focus group opportunities to gather grantees’ ideas regarding specific data needs, system use, accessibility, and reporting needs. Please visit with your data entry staff to let them know of this opportunity. If they are not going to be at MOSAC, please have another program staff attend with their notes and comments, etc. Your input and feedback are important to us as we continue to modify the data system.
The two focus group opportunities are: Friday, November 21 3:00-4:15 (breakout session) in the HK Club Room and Saturday, November 22 4:30-5:00 (spark session) in the HK Club Room.

Student Grade Levels
It is essential that programs have the correct grade level for all students' every year so that DESE can obtain the federally required academic data through a data system matching process which must then be reported by DESE to the federal data system and used in the state evaluation work.

Site Activity Summary By Year Report
At the grantee level, administrators can run the 'site activity summary by year' report and all sites will now appear on this report.

Sign-In Sheets
If you use the sign-in sheet (report) in MADS you can now choose to have the students' name automatically filled in, or you can continue to print a blank sign-in sheet as well.

There is no user permission, user ID/password for the Portal.
