CLARIFICATION on Post for 21st CCLC Waiver Extension
Just to clarify....the earlier posting for the 21st CCLC waiver extension is just a formality process DESE must follow with USDE. As part of the process, we are required to post our state's intent to request an extension and therefore we have to first post the intent with a 30-day comment period. All this really means is that DESE would like longer to spend the FY 23 21st CCLC federally awarded money to Missouri. PLEASE NOTE: This has nothing to do with the resent MASN or national Afterschool Alliance's information being sent out to protect 21st CCLC in the President's skinny-budget -- it is important for you to read that information as you receive it.

21st CCLC Waiver Extension Requested
The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) is requesting an extension for the FY2023 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) program. Please read the extension request and submit any questions of comments to afterschool@dese.mo.gov.
