21st CCLC Grantees:

 This Missouri AfterSchool Network (MASN) will be holding two webinars/Zoom sessions to provide you updates to the evaluation rubrics and information verification process. 
 
Updates to Rubric – Based on continued input by grantees, AREs, and the External Evaluators, we have made a few modifications to the rubrics and process.  In all cases, these have either moved items up on the scale (e.g., Satisfactory became More than Satisfactory), been tweaked to better fit local school contexts, or provide an “OR” option for meeting the item.  Many of these apply to the new items such as MAP and EOC scores, calculating discipline rates, etc. so everything that you may have already gathered and prepared for review will still apply…it just might qualify for an increased designation on a few of the items.
 
Information Verification – Rather than having each External Evaluator review the documentation, we are going to have you send your documentation to MASN for review.  Since this is the first year, we would like to be able to ensure that items are reviewed consistently across all grantees.  We also want to ensure that your relationship with the External Evaluator stays focused on pulling all the information together and looking holistically at your grant rather than getting bogged down on the details of verifying whether the lesson plan code is the “minimum coding” or the “full coding”.  Instead, someone on the MASN team will check for those things, and we will include the reviewed information in the reports that you and your External Evaluator receive in August. 
 
If you are available, please plan to join us on one of the two dates below to hear more about the rubric “tweaks” and preparing documentation.  If you are not available during either of these times, we plan to record the Zoom calls and will send out the link for you to watch at your convenience.
