The Missouri Community Service Commission would like to invite you to apply for formula funds through the 2020-21 Missouri Notice of Funding Opportunity (MO NOFO). These funds support eligible organizations to operate AmeriCorps programs in Missouri that address unmet needs in their local communities. This is accomplished through national service and volunteerism carried out by AmeriCorps Members.
New Applicant Overview
þ Applicants are required to enlist a minimum of five (5) and no more than ten (10) Member Service Years (MSYs) for a project.
þ New Applicants are required to submit a Concept Paper by December 6, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. (CST).
Organizations must show that their program design is evidence-based or evidence-informed interventions. For example, the program must be able to demonstrate that the intervention is a direct cause of the outcome by using scientific data from a control group. If it is not feasible to use this evidence-based scenario, organizations may utilize data from a similar program to show the relationship of the intervention(s) to the outcomes. Also, for New Applicants, you are required to provide and document matching funds at a minimum of 24% for the first three-year funding period. For those programs who are either in Recompete or Continuation status and would like to confirm your match requirement, please contact your current assigned program officer.
The 2020-21 MO NOFO applications are due to the Commission by Friday, March 6, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. (CST). The AmeriCorps State funding opportunity documents are currently available on our website at www.movolunteers.org. Additionally, all applicable forms, technical assistance documents, workshop materials, and deadlines will be posted at the website. The Commission will be hosting required grant application workshops for new applicants and current sub-grantees. We anticipate that the workshops will be conducted in November 2019. More detailed information will be coming soon. You will be notified accordingly and it will also be posted on the website.
