New Child Care Relief Funds Application Available


The Office of Childhood is pleased to announce another Non-Traditional Hours of Care funding opportunity for child care providers. These funds allow for reimbursement to child care providers who cared for children during non-traditional hours between September 1, 2021 and September 30, 2021. Non-traditional hours are defined as:

  • Evening Care - begins at 7:01 p.m. and continues to 5:59 a.m. regardless of the day of the week.
  • Weekend Care - begins or ends within the designated times of Saturday morning at 6:00 a.m. to Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m.


Providers who are eligible to apply include:

  • Licensed child care providers
  • Registered six or fewer providers
  • License-exempt providers
  • School districts


Providers may receive payment for up to one-half (1/2) of the licensed or approved capacity for children during non-traditional hours.  Providers must include a list of the children’s names as part of the application for funds.


Refer to the Terms & Conditions for more details before applying for these funds. Providers may apply on paper or online applications on the Child Care Relief Funds website.


Deadline to apply is February 10, 2022.
